Since becoming a winner at the Leeds International and Scottish Piano competitions as well as other major prizes she has played with a large number of renowned orchestras working with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle. As a recording artist Katya has received widespread critical acclaim for her interpretations. She has collaborated on several recordings with violinist Jack Liebeck. Katya and Jack gave a joint concert at the Centro Cultural São Lourenço in 2010.
