The Haga Duo was founded in 2010. Their first performances in Sweden quickly became a great success due to their technical skill, personal expressiveness and musical sensitivity, and above all due to their true joy of performing in concert. Their music-making has taken them on tours through Australia, the USA, England, Estonia, Norway, Denmark and now Portugal.
Sareidah began her musical studies as a nine-year old in Stockholm in 1991 and made her musical debut in 1999 as a soloist with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. She is particularly drawn to chamber music where she can meet challenges in both traditional and more avant-garde contexts.
Joakim was trained at Stockholm’s Royal Conservatory of Music and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He belongs to a new generation of classical guitarists who cultivate versatility in chamber music and is particularly interested in working with vocalists and with orchestras. He also plays the mandolin, banjo and electric guitar moving freely between the various instruments.
The Haga Duo released their first CD “Footprints” in 2013. It features an eclectic mix of Argentinian tango, American folklore, Indian Raga and Swedish folk ballads. Their CD “The Secret Room” is an introduction to classical music for children.
