Tuesday December 18 will feature compositions by Joseph Haydn, Alexandre Delgado and Robert Schumann.
Thursday December 20 will feature pieces by Claude Debussy, Joaquin Turina and José Vianna da Motta.
The Trio Pangea brings together players of Spanish, French and Portuguese musical backgrounds with a repertoire that includes many new works performed in public for the first time. All three musicians are performers of long standing and have played together at the Belém Cultural Centre, the Gulbenkian Foundation, the Institut Français du Portugal, Dreux Auditorium, the Evaristo Valle Museum, the Estoril Festival, and the Mosan Summer Festival, and regularly perform for the Portuguese national radio station RDP-Antena 2.
Bruno Belthoise is a laureate of the Fondation Laurent-Vibert, and winner of the Fondation de France prize in 1988. He received his Diplôme Supérieur d’Exécution from the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in 1989 and in 1997 was ADAMI’s “Classical Music Revelation of the Year”.
Adolfo Rascón Carbajal initially studied violin under Alexander Vasiliev, going on to graduate at the Oviedo Conservatory, continuing at the University of Graz and the Reina Sofía music school, Madrid, where he received the Best Chamber Music Student award in 2003. A winner of the Kunstuniversität Graz (KUG) Young Musicians Competition and the Ciudad de Oviedo Violin Competition, he has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Spain and Austria.
Teresa Valente Pereira studied cello under Maria José Falcão and Paulo Gaio Lima, continuing with Natalia Shakovskaya and Rainer Schmidt at the Reina Sofía music school (Madrid), and with Christoph Richter at the Folkwang Hochshule Essen. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career and serves as principal cello in the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra.

Amigos de Música concerts at Os Agostos begin at 7.00pm sharp. Doors open at 6.00pm and wine, fruit juices and canapés will be served. There will also be a short interval with refreshments served. Entry donation is €25 per person for guests and non-members.
