The Norwegian pianist Anne Kaasa, who lives in Lisbon, has been described by the French musical magazine Le Monde de la Musique as “ a pianist that stands out in the crowded world of soloists by the depth of her interpretations, the fluidity of her playing, as well as the precision and the delicacy of her touch”. 

Her activity as a soloist has brought her to play at prestigious venues like Wigmore Hall(London), Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon),  Auditorio Nacional (Madrid),  Ateneu Roman(Bucarest) and Scheremetev Palace (St. Petersburg) among others and in many International Music Festivals.

 

 

 

The cellist, Maria José Falcão has performed in numerous concerts in Portugal and abroad, and appeared in many Festivals, including in the Festivals of Algarve, Sintra Macau and Funchal. She collaborates regularly with the Portuguese Radio for classical music, Antena 2 and has recorded the Cello Concerto of Fernando Lopes-Graça with the National Symphony Orchestra of Budapest.

The clarinetist,Esther Georgie, was born in Michigan, United States of America. At the age of twelve, she moved to England to pursue her piano and clarinet studies at the Royal College of Music in London. She won the International Young Concert Artists Competition and the Young Artists’ Platform in London. These successes enabled her to give recitals at the Wigmore Hall, the Fairfield Halls, Leighton House and the BBC.

She is a founding member of the Bartikian Trio and more recently is a member of a wind quintet made up of soloists from the Gulbenkian Orchestra. She also plays regularly in duet with clarinettist João Pedro Santos. Mervyn Cooke, Ivan Moody and Diogo Alvim have all dedicated new works to her.

All concerts will take place in the auditorium at Os Agostos. Doors will open at 6.00pm and the concert will begin at 7.00pm.

There will be wine, fruit juices and canapés available for self-service. Entry donation is €30.00 per person for guests and non-members payable in advance by bank transfer.
