We are delighted to welcome Ana Beatriz Ferreira, particularly as she was a recipient of the Amigos’ Young Portuguese Musician Scholarship bursary during her studies at London Royal College of Music, Ana Beatriz  is known for the discovery of and extensive work with the Piano Concerto by the Portuguese composer, Joly Braga Santos, which she then premiered in London in 2015.   She recently recorded works by this composer on CD with the violinist Lana Trotovsek, and the official Launch of this CD will be forming part of our Thursday concert.

Tuesday, 20th February In a solo recital, “Poetic Inspirations”, Ana Beatriz will play music by Jonathan Harvey, Prokofiev, Debussy, Chopin and Schubert.

On Thursday, 22nd February, Ana Beatriz will be joined by the violinist, Lana Trotovsek. Together they will play works by Joly Braga Santos in the first half and Vaughan Williams and Ravel in the second.

Amigos de Música concerts at OS AGOSTOS begin at 7.00pm.  Gates open at 6.00pm and wine, fruit juices and canapés will be served.
