Bruno Torrens, who is the official Yamaha piano technician, came from London this February to carry out a complete overhaul of our Yamaha C5 piano which has been the proud possession of the Amigos de Musica for the last 10 years.

Bruno confirmed that we have taken the best care of the piano while in our possession and that no actual repairs were needed although he did adjust the action (playing mechanism) to give a higher standard of technical accuracy,  appropriate for an instrument of this quality and of the demands of professional pianists.

Bruno stayed at Os Agostos as the work took two full days. He was very appreciative of his hosts, Maria and Antonio Farajotta, and of the other Amigos who generously offered hospitality during his stay

He wished the Amigos De Musica all the best for the up-coming 2017 season and looked forward to the reaction of both the performers and audiences to the newly prepared piano.
