For our June concerts we are pleased to welcome for the first time, Ukrainian pianist, Rem Urasin

REM URASIN, piano

Rem Urasin is an internationally acclaimed pianist whose work spans concert performance, recording, artistic direction, and large-scale conceptual projects. Born in Kazan, he developed his musical outlook in a culturally diverse environment that continues to inform his artistic perspective.

 A laureate of major international competitions — including the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, the Monte Carlo Piano Masters Grand Prix, the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, and the Sydney International Piano Competition — Urasin has built a distinguished international career.

 Urasin is among the very few pianists in history to have performed the complete works of Frédéric Chopin, including solo pieces, chamber music, vocal compositions, and works for piano and orchestra..

 He has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, and Russia, collaborating with leading orchestras.

Urasin is Artistic Director of the Sviatoslav Richter Foundation Music and Arts Festival in Tarusa and founder of the International Summer School of Art of the Richter Foundation. Since 2022, he has been living in Portugal, continuing his international activity and promoting Portuguese musical heritage through performances, transcriptions, and collaborations with local musicians.
