Due to the unexpected death of his mother Javier Perianes is unable to come to São Lourenço as planned. At very short notice distinguished American pianist Ingrid Jacoby has agreed to play the June Concerts.
Ingrid Jacoby has established herself as one of the most poetic and admired pianists of her generation. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she started her piano lessons when she was 4. She comes from a family with deep musical roots. Her great-great-great-grandfather was

noblemen, Prince Louis Ferdinand to whom Beethoven dedicated his Third Piano Concerto. She has won numerous awards including the Baldwin Piano Competition, the Concerts Artists Guild Award and the Steinway Hall Artists Prize.
