death one of our Founders and an Honorary member who was for many years Vice President of the Association. Pedro Leitao died aged 87 in his beloved Lisbon after a short illness. He was a good friend and always generous in his support of the Amigos. As well as being a portrait painter of Portuguese and International Society, examples of his important decoration portfolio can be seen throughout the Ritz hotel in Lisbon and Annabels in London. Closer to home he was responsible for the original interiors of Casa Velha and T Club in Quinta do Lago.
As some Amigos may know, several of us were able to attend the wonderful 50th Birthday concert which Kathryn Stott had organised in the Royal Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool on the 4th of this month. On the following morning there was enthusiastic coverage in both the Times and Telegraph. It

The only question mark we have at the moment are the dates of Kathryn Kruger concerts in March which will be either 11th and the 14th or the 14th and the 18th. You will also notice some familiar names which we shall be welcoming back to São Lourenço. Eric le Sage, Sandro Bartoli, Paul Crossley, not forgetting Joana Ballmann, after the AGM in November.
It should be a pleasant year; I hope you will be able to support as many as of them as possible and please don’t forget to bring your
friends.
