NEWSFLASH of December concert change on Dec. 7th, 2021
Dear Amigas and Amigos,
It will probably not come as a total surprise to you when I tell you that our December pianist, Nuno Marques, cancelled his two recitals at Os Agostos on December 14th and 16th, 2021.
The latest enforcement of travel restrictions for flights from the US to Portugal made it impossible for him to come to Europe for Christmas. He is very apologetic and I pass on his regrets as well as his hopes for a future invitation to come and play for the Amigos de Musica.
So, this is to inform you that the concert on Thursday, December 16th is cancelled.
but we were able to find a wonderful replacement for the concert on
Tuesday, December 14th, 2021
The procedure of this evening will be as usual, so all Rules apply – please do not come before 18:00 and be prepared to show your Vaccination Certificate.
The Vol’Art Ensemble string quartet will be playing a programme of works by Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Rachmaninov and Grieg for us in our OA auditorium.
– If you made a reservation for the Dec. 16th recitals, you will be contacted by Cristina.
– Guests will have their payment refunded.
– Everybody will receive the complete programme for the concert on Dec. 14th for print-out. Please bring it with you to the concert.
I hope for your understanding and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, December 14th, in Os Agostos.
