Milan Miladinovic

Milan Miladinovic, the prize-winning Serbian pianist will give 2 concerts during November 2019.  On Tuesday November 5 Milan will present “Music and Symbols” with pieces by Bach/Busoni, Chopin, Liszt and Scriabin. On Thursday November 7 it will be Night as “Inspiration in Music” in which Milan will play Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Debussy and Ravel.

Milan Miladinovic was born in Novi Sad, Serbia’s second city which is located on The Danube. He started studying the piano at a very young age and graduated with honours from the Academy of Arts in his home city.  He is now an Associate Professor (or Docent) of Piano and History of Piano Performance and Head of the Music Department at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.  Milan has participated in several important piano festivals and Master classes. 

Milan is a Laureate and first prize winner of national and international piano competitions.  These include 1st prize for young pianists of Yugoslavia at Niš (1994, 1995 & 1996).  The 1997 F. Chopin International Piano competition in Novi Sad, the Jacob Flier International Competition in New Paltz, New York State, the International  Balkan Youth Festival, Greece 2001, the 2004 International Piano Competition George Cziffra (Austria 2004) and International Tel Hai Concerto competition in Israel in 2004.

Milan has won a Yamaha scholarship, a DAAD scholarship to study in Germany and the Scholarship presented by the Serbian Royal Family Karadordordević.  He has performed in most of Serbia’s important concert halls as well as in Italy, Greece, USA, Brazil, Norway, Russia, Israel, Holland, Austria, Germany, Iceland, Spain and England. He actively performs as soloist with orchestras and chamber groups.  Milan has given many lecture recitals in Serbian, Russian and English.  He has recorded for Serbian, Greek, Israel and Dutch radio and television.

His piano students were laureates of more than 20 international piano competitions.

Amigos de Música concerts at Os Agostos begin at 7.00pm sharp.  Doors open at 6.00pm and wine, fruit juices and canapés will be served. There will also be a short interval with refreshments served. Entry donation is €25 per person for guests and non-members.

The AMIGOS DE MÚSICA is an international group of around 90 members who stage musical activities by internationally renowned musicians and also sponsor young Portuguese musicians. It is a non-profit organization and celebrated its twenty-eighth anniversary last year.
